Had a wonderful morning here with our two little ones (ages 2 years and 6 months). Cute play area with slide, sandpit etc. Our 2 year old especially loved the mini tractors he could “drive” around on. There’s a mini walk where you can see the deer in the fields and nice views. We also did the deer experience, which the whole family loved. Robbert was our guide and we were really impressed. Was very informative and fun. We also had a drink and some scones at the cafe and thought the scone was especially yummy! Would definitely recommend.

This was our second visit doing the Highland Safari, 7 years apart and both completely different but wonderful experiences. Our guide Tony was fantastic - so knowledgeable and interesting to talk with! I would highly recommend the Highland Safari to anyone with an interest in Nature and Scottish culture.

After an extremely cold night everything was frozen over which allowed the progress of the Land rover. However, our driver and guide, Colin, did his best to entertain and inform us of local history, geography and whatever wildlife we could spot (not a lot, due to the extreme weather conditions. We enjoyed a wee dram and shortbread in the bothy up in the hills while we scanned for any signs of wildlife. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Visited today with our children and absolutely loved itm we did the barn owl and red deer experience, feeding the deer was brilliant and the guide Robbie was so knowledgeable and friendly. The owls were amazing, you get so close to them and the facilities are great, play area, ride on tractors, great shop, toilets and cafe. I would recommend this to anyone with or without children

We decided at the last minute to visit for the Red Deer experience on a Wednesday in December. We were lucky to be the only guests on this experience and to have a fantastic afternoon with Robbert, who was extremely knowledgeable and fun about both the deer and the owls. He also clearly genuinely cares about them and their habitat. Having had such a good time, we also signed up for the mini safari, which Robbert again took us out for. Wildlife was limited - it was mid December! But the landscape was stunning and Robbert knew so much about the history, geology, flora and fauna, to make this truly memorable. We'd definitely return for the longer safari when visiting again.

Highland Safaris is not to be missed if visiting this area of Scotland. The Red Deer Encounter means you get to feed these beautiful animals by hand from the Red Deer barn. Also an encounter with a Barn Owl and an interesting talk by one of the guides. 4x4 Safaris into the surrounding hills are also available. The centre has an excellent gift shop and café. We had a memorable experience which was a highlight of our holiday.

A more than wonderful experience. We enjoyed it very much. It took us to another level. The nature is breathtaking and the views are beautiful. I cannot tell you about our guide Tony. He is a very fun person, very cultured in an amazing way, and familiar with all the details. He has excellent experience. I thank him and the working team. They were very kind. We were 10 minutes late, but another trip was arranged for us with great generosity. I cannot recommend it enough. It is an experience that deserves to be seen in person.

After a day of driving around the area we both wanted a coffee and we saw the sign for Highland Safaris Cafe.
As we had been to Boring in Oregon it was also fun to visit Dull which is twinned with Boring.
There is nothing dull about the Highland Safari Cafe, the coffee, from Brodies in Edinburgh, was above good and the home made cookie and Coffee & walnut cake were among the best I have ever eaten, that is a lot, and all made on the premises. Take a walk outside and you are greeted with the Red deer herd and people all talking about the fun of a day with their guides and instructors, we were too late but will be back.

Great place for coffee and scones. Nit as busy as it used to be, less selection of food ( used to do the best mac and cheese). Some activities for younger kids.

I went on the mountain safari experience yesterday and had such a great time! Our guide Allan was amazing and I think he truly made our adventure special. The “road” we went out exploring on was VERY rough so I wouldn’t recommend this tour to anyone who gets motion sickness. Haha But would highly recommend to anyone else looking to go out into the highlands in search for wildlife, while also hearing some history of the local Scottish areas.

A fantastic morning out with Tony on the Highland Safari. Tony was full of great knowledge and facts of the local wildlife and area. He was very impressive. The dad jokes were an added bonus. Great views and we managed to see some lovely wildlife through the binoculars. The half way hot drink stop was fab!! Would definitely recommend it for a fun adventure out and something different if you are in the Highlands. Thanks Tony you made our day :)

Did the Mountain Safari with Tony. It was great! He was super funny and told us so much about the area and the native and non-native plants and animals. We saw some red deer and a red squirrel and Highland horses, and also were able to see the red deer at the centre. We stopped for tea and biscuits halfway through in a cool little hunting cabin. It's worth the trip to Dull (sister city to Boring, Oregon 😂)!

We did a safari with Robbert and what a trip it was. Stunning weather allowed us to go high up in to the highlands. Robbert was fantastic, full of fascinating stories and facts about the area, we couldn't have asked for a better guide! This was one of the best days I've had in Scotland, would definitely recommend doing this if you can!
